OCTOBER 21: AYURVEDA BASICS FOR YOGA

 

Ayurveda means “life knowledge.”  It is a system for promoting well-being through balance and moderation in diet and lifestyle.  It is the sister science of yoga and was developed by the same vedic culture in India that has passed down these practices through teachers and texts for thousands of years.

In Bridget’s 3 hour class, participants will take a Doshic (unique constitution) assessment in order to begin the path to understanding how to balance out their body type, habits and tendencies through nutrition, lifestyle and daily routines.  
We will also learn how we can use these principles as yoga teachers to provide appropriate sequences and assists for individual students, taking the seasons and other external factors into account.
